I have been cooking since I could climb on a chair and reach my mothers cookbooks. Originally from flushing queens I give credit to my family of great cooks and the restaurants I was taken to in my youth. It is my passion but most of all my hobby and I only see it as such. Watching everyone go silent while they try a morsel of my food is one of the greatest joys and best sounds. My grandparents hailed from Spain and through my parents I’ve learned all about Caribbean cuisine in addition to Spanish cuisine as I have gone on to study various cuisines from all over the world.  - Vanessa
