Son BoriKua led by director and band leader Manuel “Manny” Perez (Bronx NY) started as a small band created because a friend of Mannys couldn't make a gig due to illness and he called his compadres up to help him out. From playing that gig, the band picked up several gigs that same night and things haven't been the same since. (Go figure).
On Thursday, March 26th at PAUSA art House, Son BoriKua invites you for a Tribute to Buena Vista Social Club. The evening will feature Buffalo's finest Latin Musicians led by Vocalist Pedro Soria, and special guest Pete Santiago and Maria Cala. Also on this list of great musicians Manny has invited his friends Joey Gonzales, Alex Aponte on bass and a band member Hansel Herrera on trumpet. We look forward to seeing you for an evening of hot Latin Rhythms.
